Quit Smoking Now® Classes

Two certified tobacco treatment specialists at Baptist Medical Center Nassau are helping people in Nassau County live tobacco free. Quit Smoking Now® classes are:

FREE to Nassau County residents
Offered in six-week sessions, approximately every eight weeks

Quit Smoking Now was designed by an ex-smoker. Classes are led a specially-trained registered nurse who will help you:

Cope with anger, sleep problems and cravings
Manage stress
Use physical activity and healthy food choices to make quitting easier
Prevent a relapse
Stay smoke-free when friends and family smoke
Identify and control smoking/tobacco triggers

Free carbon monoxide monitoring

By breathing into a handheld machine, you can learn how much carbon monoxide is in your lungs.

Free Nicotine Replacement Therapy

Participants also may qualify for FREE over-the-counter nicotine replacement therapy (Nicorette® patches, gum or lozenges) funded by a grant from the Florida Department of Health Bureau of Tobacco Prevention Program, DOH - FA 09-008.
